DJS Miles is the official super-mileage vehicle team of Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, India, competing in the Shell Eco Marathon's Battery-Electric Category of the Prototype Class (SEM). With this being our team's second year, we wanted to outperform ourselves by not only manufacturing a car for a better tomorrow but also educating and promoting a sustainable future in our society.
What is a Supermileage vehicle? It is a single passenger energy efficient vehicle. Our motive is to increase the efficiency of an electric vehicle. Efficiency in terms of a vehicle is often associated to its mileage. So our main focus is on increasing the mileage of the vehicle, hence the term Supermileage. A supermileage vehicle is designed to travel the farthest distance consuming the least amount of energy. |
Our testing grounds
Since this is our inaugural year, we will analyze and test our vehicle at the Shell Eco Marathon India. Depending on our performance at the national level, we will be consequently participating at the international level at competitions such as Shell Eco Marathon Asia and SAE Supermileage (USA)
